Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 67

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I just got home from OnStage 2016 in Salt Lake City!  It was soooo much fun!  Lot’s of fantastic inspiration and all my creative cells are on fire and ready to make some pretty things 🙂  It was a great week with friends too, laughing and just enjoying time together.

I didn’t make any swaps this year, I just brought a few cards for downline sisters and friends.  I didn’t have a lot of time before my trip to put anything together so I made this simple project the night before I left for Salt Lake.  It is so simple yet sweet and elegant.  The gold embossed image makes it classy yet easy to put together.

The card features the swirly image gold embossed on the Whisper White card stock base.  “Hello” is die cut from Soft Sky card stock and the hashtag is die cut from Island Indigo.  They are connected with a staple.  Silver thread is swirled behind the die cut images and attached to the card front with glue dots.  The final touch are the rhinestones for extra bling 🙂

My second project is a cute gift bag I made for my BFF and roomie in SLC.  I had a little gift for her and I needed something quick and easy to put it in.  No stamping necessary, I just made a cute little topper to add to the top of a glassine bag.

This project features about 3/4 of a Tea Lace Doilie and a small gold Metallic Foil Doilie stacked on top of each other.  Two small banners are punched out of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and Pool Party.  A piece of Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim is folded accordian style under the mini banners.  These are all stapled in a stack to the doilies.  A bow is tied with doubled Whisper White Baker’s Twine and added.  A Metal Rimmed Pearl is added too.  The whole piece is attached to the top of a Sketched Dots Gift Bag.  This went together in a few short minutes and looks soooo cute and extra special!

Yay for April!!!  I really was sick the ENTIRE month of March and I am finally really, truly feeling better after the worst series of crud(s) I’ve had in years!  It feels so good to be doing a little creating instead of sleeping 🙂

This card features the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set and Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  The large flower image is gold embossed on velum and then cut out.  Next a couple of flowers were cut out of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  The cut and embossed flowers are layered on another piece of vellum and stapled or adhered with dimensionals.  The sweet sentiment “enjoyyourday” from You’re So Lovely is stamped on a narrow Whisper White banner in Watermelon Wonder.   The vellum is then attached to the Whisper White base with staples.  Some Perfect White Accents and Rhinestones add the perfect amount of bling to the finished card.

Well this past week or so I’ve had pneumonia!  Seriously???!??  I have been sick most of March.  I guess I am making up for years of not getting sick…..doing it all up at once.  I am so done with being sick though…..I haven’t done much stamping and I am totes missing it 😦

This card features the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set and Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  The large flower image is gold embossed on watercolor paper and then watercolored with Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party, Mossy Meadow & Mint Macaron.  After watercoloring, the image is fussy cut.  The background is one of the polka dot images cut out at 4 x 5 1/4 with a piece of vellum layered on top in the exact same size.  The sentiment is gold embossed on a vellum banner and stapled to the flower image.  Final touches are gold thread, a button and small white baker’s twine bow.

I’ve had the flu since Thursday…ugh!!  I didn’t feel too crafty this weekend, I spent my whole weekend in bed trying to kick the crud 😦  I made this cute scrapbook page last week memorializing one of our adventures during my road trip with my daughter last summer.  So fast and easy to throw this together 🙂

The page features two different leaf dies from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies cut in Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz.  These leaves poke out behind the photos that are kinda scattered on the page.  There is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is the same size as the photos that has been embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF carrying the woodland theme.  The sentiment is from Going Global and gold embossed on vellum, then die cut with the large heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets.  The compass from Going Global is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake and die cut with a circle die.  The gold frame around the pic is from the Memories in the Making Project Life Card Collection available for free during Sale-A-Bration!  Don’t miss this cute set of cards, I am loving them right now 🙂  The last touches are some random grungy images from Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake, a tiny gold clothespin and some gold thread twisted in behind the trees and in the leaves.

It felt very springy here in Colorado today!  I hear we are due for some snow tomorrow but that’s tomorrow and today was gorgeous 🙂  The lovely weather and the hint of spring inspired me to make a card featuring spring blooms today.

This card features several flowers die cut in Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  The card base is Whisper White, next is layered a piece of Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper with a piece of vellum on top.  The super adorbs Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon is wrapped around the vellum and DSP and tied with a bow.  A tea lace doily is layered under the ribbon and flowers.  The card is finished with the Oh, Hello sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration set Honeycomb Happiness.  So bright and cheerful and springy 🙂

Today is an exciting day!  The Denver Broncos are in the Super Bowl and I can barely think about anything else 🙂  I’ve been super nervous about this game since they won the championship!

So today is a good day and I thought this sweet stamp from the Happy Home set was the perfect way to express it.  This card was quick and easy, although I did struggle a bit with the sentiment.  It seemed to be too big for the stamped images but as soon as I cut it up it balanced perfectly with the sweet boy and his dog.  I added a few pops with my embellishments and some vellum clouds from the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-Bration set.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 61

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! It’s Sale-a-Bration time and that means fun stamp sets that are totally FREE!  Here’s one of my faves from this year’s freebies, The Sky is the Limit.  It’s fun and trendy and lends itself to masculine cards as well as vintage.  Today I paired it with the World Traveler embossing folder…I think they are meant to be together!

The card starts with a piece of watercolor paper embossed with the folder and then randomly watercolored in Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi ink.  The airplane image is stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and fussy cut.  The sentiment is white embossed on a narrow piece of vellum and the “Sky” is stamped again in Wild Wasabi on Whisper White, fussy cut and then popped up on the narrow vellum banner.  The banner is then wrapped around the back of the watercolor paper and stapled in place.  The last step is adding some silver thread behind the plane and popping it up with dimensionals above the sentiment banner.  Easy peasy 🙂

It’s the New Year!!!  And that means fun new products to share 🙂

I’m loving the new Bloomin’ Love stamp set and coordinating die cut.  It’s perfect for Valentines Day and for just showing the love whenever you’re  feeling it.  It also lends itself perfectly to the vintage look, I’m imagining all kinds of vintage deliciousness with this suite.

This card was very simple to put together.  Lost Lagoon is the card base with a simple white heart die cut added.  Pops of color were brought in with the small flowers included in the die set.  The Lost Lagoon is set off with Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil.  More luxurious gold accents include a gold satin ribbon banner and gold thread.

Enjoy the Little Things in 2016!

2016???  Seriously!  The past year just seemed to fly by and now 2016 is here!  I just know this is going to be a fantastic year, I am committed to making it the best year ever 🙂

My last entry into the TGIF Challenge was picked as a favorite again!  Sooo exciting!  I have to play along again this week and I must say I am so excited to take on this week’s glitzy color challenge featuring silver, black and gold….uhhhh, these are faves to play with 🙂

On to this week’s challenge:

TGIF JAN Challenges_2_2-001

I am so in love with this new set in the Occasions Catalog “Enjoy the Little Things”.  I am totes obsessed with the fonts and the sentiments and I wanted to incorporate at least one in my New Year’s card.  Then I thought, hey why not use a bunch of them subway style??  The result is this beauty.

First several of the stamps were set up on one large block in the design and then gold embossed on vellum.  The vellum was added to a Basic Black card base.  Next, gold satin ribbon and banners of gold, black and silver glimmer paper were added along the bottom of the card front.  A vellum banner was added with the year 2016 silver embossed on it.  The final touches were sequins, rhinestones and stars to add glitz and glam….all a fitting welcome to the new year!

You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dara Gloden’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

We’ve had a lovely Christmas weekend here in Colorado.  Fun and relaxing times with friends and family 🙂  The weather has been super cold but clear and pretty!  I hope you have had a wonderful holiday with your family.

This card features the new Going Global set coming out in the Occasions Mini on January 5th.  This set is perfect for masculine birthday, vintage style and speaks to my traveling soul.

The globe image is white embossed on vellum, the compass image is stamped in Delightful Dijon on Very Vanilla and the sentiment (from You’re So Lovely) is stamped in Lost Lagoon on Very Vanilla.  All images are die cut with the Circles Collection Framelits.  The starburst is die cut with the a die in the Baker’s Box Thinlits set in Delightful Dijon.  The burlap ribbon is die cut with the larger label image from the Baker’s Box Thinlets set.  The Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack provides the cute mountain paper for the background on the card.  All of the circle images are layered onto the card at various heights with dimensions.  The final touches are sequins, a button and White Perfect Accents.
