Amazing You Stampin' Up

Amazing You Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. The watercolor swoosh of Fresh Fig sets off the framelit words perfectly.  After the watercolor background dried, I added a splatter of Bermuda Bay on top.
  2. I gave the die cut “amazing” some heft by cutting it once in Bermuda Bay and two more times in Whisper White.  I love how you can see the white behind the Bermuda Bay,
  3. The entire card front is offset on the front of the card and the flower die from the May Flowers Framelits picks up the Lemon Lime Twist in the stamping and the “YOU” die cut.  The offset and the die cut add interest and make the whole card front pop.

Mountain Magic!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 110!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Elizabeth’s beautiful work.

If you have not played with the Waterfront stamp set yet, you absolutely must order it now!  It is so easy to create amazing art work with!  You just need the set, watercolor paper, some ink and water.  The results are simply stunning!

Waterfront Stampin' Up

Waterfront Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. I used several colors to stamp my mountains and I used various amounts of ink (stamping off several times with some images).  After layering the images many times, I went back in with an Aquapainter and melted my images together.  Colors used:  Early Espresso, Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide.  I did the same thing with the water using Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim and Pool Party.
  2. The lone bird is from Wherever You Go stamp set.  If your image isn’t dark enough on the Watercolor Paper, fill in with a Basic Black marker.
  3. I love how the sentiment floats over the card with the landscape coming through the vellum

Bubbly Super Bowl Fun!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 109!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Elizabeth’s beautiful work.

Oh my word!  The Bubble Over stamp along with the free Sale-A-Bration paper and the coordinating dies (Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies) are so much fun!  I thought it would be fun to make something with this set for Super Bowl Sunday although my “drinks” look pretty tame and not really Super Bowl party worthy lol 🙂  The best part about this suite of products?  You can get the paper totally free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration!  It features my absolute fave colors Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay…yummy!!

Bubble Over Stampin' Up

Bubble Over Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. I cut the bottles out of vellum and colored them with Calypso Coral Blend from the back to get my color coordinated “liquid” in the bottle.
  2. Dimensionals and glue dots adhered all the parts together and gave the card front tons of dimension!  For the straw, I added a glue dot near the bottom and then slid it “into the bottle”.  It was the last thing I added to the card.
  3. Guess what silver foil is perfect for??  Bottle caps!!  That bottle cap die is the cutest evah!

Amazingness!

I cannot love the Celebrate You Thinlits enough!!!!  The “amazing” is just that….amazing!!!  The only thing that would be more amazing?  If it said “amazeballs” lol…just kidding.  I would love amazeballs but I am not sure who else would and, to be honest, I probably use the word amazing wayyyyy too much anyway.  Whatever, I love this word & there are so many things each and every day that are amazing 🙂  Guess what makes these dies even better?  They are FREE with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration.  Seriously.  Free.  What is more amazing than free????  Okay, enough amazingness…on to the project!

I needed a thank you card for a sweet, sweet girl that house sat for us in December and took the best care of our doggies.  This card came together soooo fast!

Celebrate You Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1.  Word dies are my go to when I need big impact and a quick card.  I love how this set has 3 different fonts, each word is a different font.  I used staples to attach “amazing” and mini dimensionals to attach “you” to the card front.
  2. I used the Wood Textures DSP as a focal point on the card front.
  3. To add a little more interest to the card, the large flower image from Awesomely Artistic is stamped in Bermuda Bay on the white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope I’ve inspired you to be creative today!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 86

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.

Today I am using one of the Sale-a-Bration Fab Freebie sets!  I love the “thank you” image and how sweet and simple the set is.

First the “thank you” image is stamped in Archival Black on watercolor paper.  This ink stands up really well to watercoloring 🙂  Next is a wash of Mint Macaron over the sentiment.  The rest of the card features a frame made with the Nesting Squares and a sheet of the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack, a Mint Macaron Doily, a swirl of Gold Thread all under the rest of the sentiment stamped in Calypso Coral.  So easy to put together and so soft and pretty!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 64

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I’ve had the flu since Thursday…ugh!!  I didn’t feel too crafty this weekend, I spent my whole weekend in bed trying to kick the crud 😦  I made this cute scrapbook page last week memorializing one of our adventures during my road trip with my daughter last summer.  So fast and easy to throw this together 🙂

The page features two different leaf dies from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies cut in Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz.  These leaves poke out behind the photos that are kinda scattered on the page.  There is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is the same size as the photos that has been embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF carrying the woodland theme.  The sentiment is from Going Global and gold embossed on vellum, then die cut with the large heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets.  The compass from Going Global is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake and die cut with a circle die.  The gold frame around the pic is from the Memories in the Making Project Life Card Collection available for free during Sale-A-Bration!  Don’t miss this cute set of cards, I am loving them right now 🙂  The last touches are some random grungy images from Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake, a tiny gold clothespin and some gold thread twisted in behind the trees and in the leaves.

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dara Gloden’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

It felt very springy here in Colorado today!  I hear we are due for some snow tomorrow but that’s tomorrow and today was gorgeous 🙂  The lovely weather and the hint of spring inspired me to make a card featuring spring blooms today.

This card features several flowers die cut in Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  The card base is Whisper White, next is layered a piece of Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper with a piece of vellum on top.  The super adorbs Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon is wrapped around the vellum and DSP and tied with a bow.  A tea lace doily is layered under the ribbon and flowers.  The card is finished with the Oh, Hello sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration set Honeycomb Happiness.  So bright and cheerful and springy 🙂

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 62

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

Today is an exciting day!  The Denver Broncos are in the Super Bowl and I can barely think about anything else 🙂  I’ve been super nervous about this game since they won the championship!

So today is a good day and I thought this sweet stamp from the Happy Home set was the perfect way to express it.  This card was quick and easy, although I did struggle a bit with the sentiment.  It seemed to be too big for the stamped images but as soon as I cut it up it balanced perfectly with the sweet boy and his dog.  I added a few pops with my embellishments and some vellum clouds from the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-Bration set.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 40

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

I am clearly obsessed with watercoloring these days!  I just can’t stop playing with the soft affect of watercoloring with our re-inkers.  Today’s project features a lovely watercolored flower as it’s centerpiece.  It was so easy peasy!  I white embossed the Blended Bloom on watercolor paper and painted away.  We did this project in my stamp club on Friday night and every flower was as individual as the artists painting them!  So fun!

The rest of the card features some fun embellishments from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, the cute pom pom ribbon and ribbon from Sale-A-Bration.  Once the painting was complete, the rest of this sweet card came together in a jiffy!

I can’t wait to share our beautiful inspiration with you today!

Soooo excited to share a card featuring some super fun stuff from Sale-a-Bration and the new Occasions Catalog!  I just love this little birdie from the Sale-a-Bration set “A Happy Thing”.  I colored it with my most favorite toys, my Blendabilities 🙂  I also used the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series paper behind my little birdie.  I sponged the striped piece and then cut it into a circle behind my birdie.  I added some background stamps from Butterfly Basics out of the the Occasions Catalog and some pops of Cherry Cobbler to set the whole creation off.

I hope you love as much as I do!  And remember, the wonder Irresistibly Yours and A Happy Thing are free with a $50 purchase…what could be better than that!
