Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 67

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I just got home from OnStage 2016 in Salt Lake City!  It was soooo much fun!  Lot’s of fantastic inspiration and all my creative cells are on fire and ready to make some pretty things 🙂  It was a great week with friends too, laughing and just enjoying time together.

I didn’t make any swaps this year, I just brought a few cards for downline sisters and friends.  I didn’t have a lot of time before my trip to put anything together so I made this simple project the night before I left for Salt Lake.  It is so simple yet sweet and elegant.  The gold embossed image makes it classy yet easy to put together.

The card features the swirly image gold embossed on the Whisper White card stock base.  “Hello” is die cut from Soft Sky card stock and the hashtag is die cut from Island Indigo.  They are connected with a staple.  Silver thread is swirled behind the die cut images and attached to the card front with glue dots.  The final touch are the rhinestones for extra bling 🙂

My second project is a cute gift bag I made for my BFF and roomie in SLC.  I had a little gift for her and I needed something quick and easy to put it in.  No stamping necessary, I just made a cute little topper to add to the top of a glassine bag.

This project features about 3/4 of a Tea Lace Doilie and a small gold Metallic Foil Doilie stacked on top of each other.  Two small banners are punched out of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and Pool Party.  A piece of Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim is folded accordian style under the mini banners.  These are all stapled in a stack to the doilies.  A bow is tied with doubled Whisper White Baker’s Twine and added.  A Metal Rimmed Pearl is added too.  The whole piece is attached to the top of a Sketched Dots Gift Bag.  This went together in a few short minutes and looks soooo cute and extra special!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 64

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I’ve had the flu since Thursday…ugh!!  I didn’t feel too crafty this weekend, I spent my whole weekend in bed trying to kick the crud 😦  I made this cute scrapbook page last week memorializing one of our adventures during my road trip with my daughter last summer.  So fast and easy to throw this together 🙂

The page features two different leaf dies from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies cut in Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz.  These leaves poke out behind the photos that are kinda scattered on the page.  There is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is the same size as the photos that has been embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF carrying the woodland theme.  The sentiment is from Going Global and gold embossed on vellum, then die cut with the large heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets.  The compass from Going Global is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake and die cut with a circle die.  The gold frame around the pic is from the Memories in the Making Project Life Card Collection available for free during Sale-A-Bration!  Don’t miss this cute set of cards, I am loving them right now 🙂  The last touches are some random grungy images from Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake, a tiny gold clothespin and some gold thread twisted in behind the trees and in the leaves.

Dove of Peace, a really BIG class & a really BIG sale!

I have so much to share this morning!   A beautiful card, a fantastic class and the last day of the Online Extravaganza!  So pull up a comfy chair and a nice warm coffee (or tea or whatever makes you happy) and enjoy 🙂

I’ve been thinking about this card ever since I got the Dove of Peace Stamp … I knew I had to create something with this stamp and this technique!  Super simple with lots of wow factor.  The dove is white embossed on watercolor paper and then randomly watercolored with blues and greens (Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi).  The Soft Sky base cardstock is stenciled with Whisper White Craft Ink using the stars mask from the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask set.  Final touches were the “peace” die cut in Silver Foil with the Christmas Greetings Thinlets, an Iced Rhinestone and Silver Thread.  The results are stunning!  There was a terrible shooting in Colorado Springs on Black Friday and all I want for Christmas is peace for all.

Flash sale items!  Cyber Monday only!

Skating By

Tomorrow is my sweet boy’s birthday, 23rd birthday to be exact!  How did that happen exactly???  I must have had him when I was 10 or something!  Right???!?

Tomorrow is all about him and he has loved skateboarding since he was little.  In his honor, I used the Skating By Stamp Set to commemorate his special day.

The main image is heat embossed in black on watercolor paper and then watercolored with color squished into the ink pad lid and an aqua painter.  After it was colored, the image was cut out.  Isn’t coloring fun?  It’s not just for kids anymore 🙂

The cut out image is popped up with dimensionals on the card front and the birthday sentiment from the set is added as a banner.  The red striped washi tape is from the Hello December 2015 Accessory Kit.  Love, love, love!

I hope you are inspired to make something pretty today!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 44

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

Today my card features some new cattle sneak peeks along with some retiring faves.  I used the super adorbs new Project Life set Moments Like These.  I embossed the days of the week on watercolor paper in white embossing powder.  Isn’t this font just swoon-a-liscious?  Yum!  Then I added random water color in Watermelon Wonder, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  The effect is so purty 🙂  Next I stamped the phrase “everyday moments” in Watermelon Wonder on vellum, die cut it and stapled it to a Coastal Cabana starburst shape.  This is another fave I am sad to see go!  I just loved these starburst dies!  De-constructed jute, some rhinestones and a watermelon base finished this one off.

in love with Project Life “Love Story”

I’m single and there is no lovey dovey stuff going on in my life but I wanted to use the “Love Story” PL kit anyway!  My double layout features my little doggie and my daughter and her doggie.  This layout was soooooo easy peasy to put together and has lots of wow factor!  The kit is white, black, gray and silver.  I added one color:  Mint Macaroon.  I think the layouts are gorge with just the pop of color to set off the cards and embellishments included and the final result is that your photos take center stage!

Don’t miss this kit even if you don’t have a wedding you want to capture, the cards and embellishments work for anything or anyone that you love.  And you can use the wedding specific elements to make your next wedding card fast and easy!

I struggle with photographing pocket pages, the shiny and cameras just don’t mix!   I think these pics show how cute these pages are despite the inherent issues with taking pics of pocket pages!  I hope you enjoy as much as I do!  Here are the two layouts….

Happy memory keeping!

Selfie Fun Featuring Project Life by SU!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 26

Hello friends! Welcome back to our Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I have something super fun today & I know my friends have amazing inspiration too!

I am in love with Project Life!  I had been dabbling in PL style layouts using Stampin’ Up products for a while and when SU announced that they were partnering with Becky Higgins and developing their own PL line, I was over the moon!  This week’s project features our PL layout and greeting card that we did in our club on Friday night.  Sooooo much fun and supah easy!

This month we used the “Happiness Is” Card Collection and Accessory Pack.  Gosh there are super cute cards in the set and the accessory pack is chock full of fun embellishments.  I find the hardest thing about any scrapbooking layout is picking the photos, these pictures just jumped out of my phone and onto my page!  Total no brainer 😉

Putting the layout together after picking the photos?  Oh, about 5 minutes….seriously!  PL is that fast and easy!  Gives you lots of time to forever document your favorite memories!  And you can make your layouts as simple or as complicated as you want.  This one was pretty simple but has some nice cute touches too.  The greeting card features one of the PL cards and one of the included embellishments, this is a fast and easy way to throw a cute card together in an instant!

The hardest thing about PL is photographing the results!  Those glare-y pocket pages do not lend themselves to good pictures!!!  Hopefully you can see how cute this page is 🙂
