More New Adventure!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 165!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

I have been stamping a lot with retiring favorites the last few weeks but I just had to tinker with one of the new suites coming out.  I have always loved our travel sets and especially those featuring globes.  The World of Good Suite features a gorgeous stamp set and coordinating dies along with paper and embellishments that evoke old world travel and adventure.  Sometimes I get so caught up in all the lovely coordinating items that I forget that other color combinations are begging to be explored!  This card features a die from the World Map Dies and a sentiment from the Beautiful World stamp set.  I also pulled in one of my favorite images from Parisian Beauty for the background and other bits and bobs from various punches, dies and embossing folders.  This would make a great graduation card for a graduate in your life that is struggling with the reality of Covid19 and graduations.  I hope you love it as much as I do!!

New “Creative” Tutorial

I just love making samplers, there is something so satisfying about making several tiny projects that all come together into one cohesive piece! This sampler is probably my favorite of all time (I always say my latest is my favorite lol)! For sure this one is going up in my craft room!!! It is really bittersweet that Crafting Forever and It Starts with Art are both retiring in June. I think these will find a permanent home in my craft room…I can’t imagine living without a stamp that says “let’s stay up late and craft” 🙂

A detailed tutorial is available here.

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

I needed a simple thank you and I automatically reached out for Sweetly Swirled.  I just love this set and I am so sad that it is retiring next month.  This card came together quickly and is probably about as close to #simplestamping as I can get!  lolSweetly Swirled Stampin' Up

Sweet Easter Bunny

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 162!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Happy Easter!  This was certainly a different Easter this year with the stay-at-home rules.  We got a spring snow storm too so it was a nice relaxing day indoors.  I love this sweet bunny from Fable Friends, he looks like Peter Rabbit to me.  He was so easy to work with…on both cards I colored him with blends and fussy cut him.  After that I created two different backgrounds, one super simple and the other a little more fancy.  I really wanted to showcase my sweet bunny friend 🙂

Say farewell to Sale-a-Bration!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 161!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Oh my goodness we are living in some very scary times!  I don’t know about you but when I get stressed creating something pretty helps me cope.  With this virus locking us all up in our homes I am so very thankful that I have an outlet in my craft room.  I am grateful everyday for my health, my family and my day job and that I can turn to paper and ink when I can’t control anything else in the world!

In honor of the end of Sale-a-Bration I made this pretty card with the Flowering Foils DSP.  It is so pretty and so easy to create with!  For this card, I fussy cut one of the big flowers and sponged color onto it.  I used another new release Sale-a-Bration item, the pretty Vellum Specialty Paper.  It is so soft, pretty and romantic.

Todays cards feature stamps, dies and paper that are all freebies available in the Sale-a-Bration catalog!  Seriously, these products are so versatile and fun to play with.  The paper is so pretty, it reminds me of a beautiful Monet painting.  I hope you love these as much as I do 🙂

Parisian Mini Fun

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 157!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

I have been having so much fun creating with the Parisian Beauty set!  This mni-card purse project was so easy and such a cute outcome.  I made these for a class, three 3×3 cards and a cute purse tote for them.  I combined the Parisian Beauty Suite and Dressed to Impress.  I also thought the gorgeous Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper was perfect to make a Paris style purse.  If you have not gotten any of this paper yet, do not miss out!  It is simply luscious!  and the best part is?  It is free with a $50/order, it is one of the Sale-a-Bration items available now.  I just love it!

The 3×3’s came together quickly.  All three have a Basic Black base and cute images and die cuts from Parisian Beauty, Dressed to Impress and Forever Blossoms.  It is amazing how you can coordinate all of these in projects.  They go together so well 🙂

You can find a tutorial for all of these cards, the purse and 6 full size cards created with the Parisian Beauty and Forever Blossoms Suites here.

Colorado Mountain High!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 156!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

When I saw this stamp set in the new Mini Catalog I knew I absolutely had to have it and couldn’t wait to create some fun things with it!  The mountain and tree images are just crying out to be colored with the pigment sprinkles.  The sprinkles create a variegated effect that is so perfect to mimic nature!  To get this fabulous effect, I heat embossed the images in white on watercolor paper.  Then I sprinkled the powder on dry…a little goes a very long way so be judicious in your sprinkling!!  You can always add more powder if you need to once you spritz.  For the mountains I used Gorgeous Grape powder and for the trees I used a combination of Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green.  After I spritz with water and have the look I want (remember water activates the color crystals), I usually dry the image with my heat gun.  This tends to burn the crystals slightly and I love how this looks.  The random heated spots get kind of sparkly and they create super dark spots in your scene.  I just love the look of these!  The pigment sprinkles also give the look of a complicated coloring process when in reality the whole thing only takes a few minutes!  Once your images are dry, die cut them with the coordinating dies and voila you have the pieces of a gorgeous card!

I experimented a bit with my sky creating a night sky by sponging Pacific Point (around the moon) and NIght of Navy for the darker portions of the sky.  I added stars with white gel pen and spots of Fine-Tip Glue to adhere Dazzling Diamonds “stars”.  The other sky is watercolor paper that is lightly washed in Balmy Blue.  On both cards I layered die cut mountains or die cut mountains and trees.

I hope you love these as much as I do!  Such a perfect set for a Colorado stamper don’t you think??
