Festive Gatherings Fun!

I may or may not have lost my mind with Tim Holtz’s 2023 Christmas goodies! How could I help myself? So many fun things to make! I’ve made a few cards with the Festive Gatherings Dies. I can see featuring these dies in projects year round, they are so versatile. My first card is super simple and features the dies and “Happy Holidays” from Hero Arts’ Holiday Words Fancy Die set. I highly recommend those dies, I use them so much!!

My second card features a shaker ornament also adorned with Festive Gatherings, this time in non-traditional colors. The shaker dies and embellishments are from Picket Fence Studios and I just love, love them! The shaker dies make it so simple to create shaker cards and I can’t wait to shaker all the things!! I got a whole set that includes several sizes of square and circle dies. I highly recommend!

I hope you enjoy these pretties! I am stuffing in all the creating time I can right now, since I am getting knee number two replaced in a few weeks and that will slow craft time down a bit! Thank you for stopping by, I’ll see you soon!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 80

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  As always, we have some amazeballs inspiration to share today 🙂

It’s definitely a time for peace, the holidays are coming and it is truly a time of year to set aside our differences and love one another 🙂

I am totally in love with the Star of Light stamp set and coordinating Starlight Thinlits.  I think the star image is so delicate and lovely!

This card features Marina Mist and Sahara Sand ink.  The swoosh is stamped in Marina Mist on the card front and accented with Sahara Sand stars.  The main image is stamped in Marina Mist and die cut with the large star cut out.  Another piece of Sahara Sand is die cut and layered behind the main star.  “Peace” is die cut from Marina Mist and stapled to the card front.  Add ons are gold thread, rhinestones and gold foil stars.

Christmas Eve, Eve!

Wow, I can hardly believe it is already Christmas Eve in just a few hours!  I.am.not.ready!  LOL!  So tonight I will be burning the midnight oil for sure!!!  I made scrumptious chocolate covered pretzels for my team and peers at work and I needed something super cute to put them in.  Voila!  This adorbs pillow box is perfect!  Except….I probably will be up alllll night if I make one of these for each recipient.  I may end up doing something a little simpler for tomorrow’s treats 🙂

I love this pillow box though and it is my entry for the “Holly Jolly” TGIF Challenge this week!  I’m super excited to say that I was the winner of last week’s challenge….yippeeeee!  I just need to figure out how to add this cute button to my blog sidebar 🙂

TGIF Fave!

On to this week’s challenge:

#tgifc34

My pillow box is my favorite kind of Christmas project, you may have noticed I am a fan of non-traditional Christmas color schemes and this is no exception!  Black, white and silver!  Classy Christmas right?

To start, the pillow box is die cut in Whisper White and one additional side in the tree image from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack.   The tag image is die cut from Black Glimmer Paper…so gorge!  The deer image from Jolly Christmas is silver embossed and fussy cut.  The final touches are a Silver Satin Ribbon belly band tied in a big bow and White Perfect Accents & Rhinestones.  I love the simplicity and beauty of this project!  It would look fantastic as place setting gifts for Christmas dinner guests.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 58

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I needed a cute card for exercise instructor at work and I had made some cute tags earlier in the week so I kinda made the tag bigger and turned it into this cute card 🙂

This card came together quickly and easily and it features one of the deer images from the Home for Christmas DSP.  Soooo love this paper!  The base is Very Vanilla with a centerpiece built on a piece of Mint Macaron die cut with the Lots of Labels Thinlits set.  Snowflake images from Jolly Christmas were stamped in Mint Macaron on the label.  A bit of doily, a pretty vellum strip, enamel dots and gold thread added lots of glitz to the finished card.  The sentiment is from Oh, What Fun, I love this set so much and have been using the sentiments on nearly every holiday creation this week!

I hope you enjoy our hop today and are inspired to make something pretty!  Happy Holidays!

I am heading to Breckenridge in the morning to enjoy a week there with family…we have so much fun playing in the snow and enjoying the season 🙂

Don’t forget the Year End Sale going on now!  Check out my specials page for all of the sale items.  Our December Daily Online Class is available, don’t feel like it is too late to start!  Honestly, I have not actually put one page together yet, that is going to have to happen after the holidays….I’ve just been too busy making memories to record them!  But I have my photos and when I have a few minutes in late December or early January, I will have a wonderful book full of this year’s special moments 🙂  See my class link for more information!

Thanks for letting me share, have a great week filled with inspiration and beauty!

Peaceful Wreath

I played with the Peaceful Wreath Stamp Set and Wonderful Wreath Framelits today.  My idea was to change it up to not so traditional Christmas colors and I love how the card came out!  This card looks lots more complicated than it actually was to make, lotsa wow factor!  Nothing about it is perfectly placed, it is a lovely, random mess of pretty 🙂

The base of the card front is watercolor paper cut slightly smaller than usual:  3 3/4 x 4 3/4.  The large bough image from the set is white embossed randomly on the watercolor paper and then watercolored in Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow ink.  No effort was made to “stay in the lines”, just random watercoloring on and around the images.  The wreath image was white embossed on vellum and then cut out with the wreath thinlit die.  A star banner (from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit die set) was cut out of Mint Macaron.

The sentiment banner is stamped on Whisper White card stock, the “Peace” is offset from “to the world” on the banner so the banner fits under the right side of the wreath.  Sparkly embellishments are Mint Macaron and Silver Foil stars punched with the Confetti Stars Border Punch and rhinestones randomly scattered around the rest of the elements.

I thought the card needed a pop of another color and the Blossom Accent in Watermelon Wonder worked perfectly for that.  There is a little halo of Silver Thread added under the blossom for a tiny extra detail.  The finished card front is adhered to a Mint Macaron base.

I’m only in Florida for a few more days, this has been once again a wonderful time of creativity unleashed in so many ways!  My cup is (almost) full.

I hope you love this card as much as I do and it inspires you to make something lovely today!
