Cruising for a week, home not even a week and I had a ton on my plate catching up at work and preparing for our annual fundraiser to benefit our local Komen Affiliate.  Yesterday we held our 10th annual Stampin’ for a Cure fundraiser and we raised $5800!!!  I am so thrilled with our success.  It was a fun day of stamping and prizes and hearing stories of survivors.  Today’s project is my project for Stampin’ for a Cure.  All our participants were able to make this card at my station.

Creative Tips:

  1. My project features the lovely leaves in Colorful Seasons and the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  This leaf is delicate and super pretty and gives this card a lot of impact yet it is simple to make for a new stamper.
  2. I wanted to send everyone home with a card they could use anytime but is also in line with our current fall season.  Who wouldn’t want to receive this pretty card in the mail this fall?
  3. This design features white space as much as it features the images and embellishments.  I love how the white space sets off the featured items.

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s lovely designs.

I am blogging tonight from the cruise ship Liberty of the Seas on my beautiful balcony….oh my goodness this is just what I needed to refresh and unwind!!!  A whole week of fun, stamping and relaxing with my besties 🙂  We flew into Houston yesterday morning and that is the inspiration for my post today.  My cousin lives in Katy, Texas and her home flooded during Hurricane Harvey.  This is the card I made for her.  I love the sweet sentiments and the fun coordinating framelits with this set.

Creative Tips:

  1. A combination of gold foil leaves, watercolored leaves and stamped leaves add super duper interest to this card.
  2. A light watercolor wash in the background (Dapper Denim) sets off the leaves and the spritz of Dapper Denim is the perfect final touch.
  3. “Just Breathe” is exactly what we all need to be doing with all the crazy weather the last few weeks!  I have been praying non-stop for everyone affected by these terrible storms.

Summer is flying by as always….I can’t believe how fast it is going!  Fall has many charms though not the least of which are the changing aspens in Colorado….so gorgeous!  This set doesn’t feature aspen leaves but I cannot get enough of this leaf framelit, it is perfection 🙂

Colorful Seasons Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist color combo happening here and they are so beautiful together!  I cut one of the leaves in watercolor paper and colored it with Lemon Lime Twist and then topped it with Wink of Stella…yum!
  2. The fonts in this set are so beautiful!  They are modern and have a perfect heft to them.
  3. Heat embossing the leaves in white in the background gave lots of interest to the watercolor background.

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s sweet designs.

I just spent an amazing week camping…first a weekend backpacking trip with my girl and her boyfriend and then camping with friends up on Mt. Princeton.  It’s funny how you pare it all down for backpacking and still eat and sleep well…camping from a car?  It’s a whole different story!  I’m always amazed by all the junk we bring and actually use lol!  I feel rejuvenated and my soul is full from spending time in the forest and soaking up the stars at night 🙂

This card seems to express what I felt when I was out in the woods and mountains of Colorado:  “I’m much more me when I’m with you”.

Creative Tips:

  1. Once again, I am rocking the tiny images in the “You Deserve This” stamp set.  I just love how cute these are and I turned them into a larger background image by stacking them in different colors.
  2. Don’t you love, love, love the ombre ribbon????  This card features the Lemon Lime Twist ombre ribbon but it also comes in Island Indigo and Calypso Coral…must have colors in my craft room!
  3. I love how Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist go so well together for a modern color pop.

Sweet teepee love

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s sweet designs.

I love that ad on TV where the two women are talking about her new blue suede couch and she says “I had to have it!”  and then the burglars are in the living room in the dark saying “had to have it!”.  It’s kinda funny, the lady uses her credit card to get her dream couch and the burglars use a crow bar lol.  Well that’s how I feel about this stamp set!  As soon as I saw it in the new cattie, I was like “I have to have it!!!”  Hopefully, no one is gonna break into my house with a crowbar and steal it 😉

Little One Stampin' Up

Little One Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. I didn’t have Powder Pink ribbon on hand when I started this card but I wanted a ribbon-y embellishment to go behind my teepee.  I just used a narrow strip of card stock that I pulled back and forth with my bone folder to bust up the fibers and make it soft and easily looped.  I also used a small piece that was left on the left side under my card front to give another pop of pink.
  2. I absolutely love the tiny images in this set for borders and backgrounds.  I stamped them on a tiny strip of whisper white, it adds a nice bit of interest to the card front.
  3. There are so many fun things you can do with this teepee, I can’t wait to make more teepee projects!

My name is Cathy & I have never been a fan of flowers….but…..I have become more & more enamored of flowers over the last year or so!  And this fun new set is going to be a new favorite, I am sure of it!  Today has not been fun until I got to do a little stamping.  I am cleaning out my closet, ugh.  What a nightmare!  My bedroom looks like a bomb went off!  Deep breathes, I will be done soon and I will love my closet so much more with all the stuff out that I don’t wear 🙂

Oh So Eclectic Stampin' Up

Oh So Eclectic Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. Instead of a mask, I used one of the dies from the coordinating set Eclectic Layers with embossing paste.  I love how this turned out!
  2. The cute bit of Berry Burst on the top left?  It came from one of the little umbrella edge framelits from the Umbrella Weather die set.
  3. This card doesn’t have a sentiment, this makes it perfect for any occasion.  You can use this card for a quick note to a friend or add birthday wishes to the inside 🙂

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s sweet designs.

I suspect no one who knows me would be surprised by my title …. lol!  I totes love coffee, coffee anything is just fab with me.  I’m on a new diet these days, no sugar.at.all!  That has changed my coffee habit a bit, I am cream only now which I am finally developing a love for.  It has been hard, oh so hard!!  This stamp set and coordinating dies was love at first sight though!!!!!  Oh my gosh, is it fun to play with!

Coffee Cafe Stampin' Up

Coffee Cafe Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. Overall my card is really three tones:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Pool Party.  To make the whole thing pop, I added the Real Red Enamel heart.
  2. Lot’s of dimension in this card.  Die cuts allow you to layer and make your coffee cup seem 3-dimensional 🙂
  3. I cut the coffee cup topper out of Window Sheet…isn’t that cute?  Just like a yummy drink with whipped cream on top at your favorite coffee shop!

Time to Celebrate!!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 94

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s sweet designs.

Why is it time to celebrate?  New catalog time and that calls for a big celebration!!!  I’ve been head over heels for this cattie since the minute I saw it.  I think I am most smitten with the new In Color Lemon Lime Twist…it gives a sweet pop of color and adds a punch to almost any color combo.  My card today features my favorite color combo Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay 🙂

Happy Celebrations Stampin' Up

Happy Celebrations Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. You get this fabulous de-bossing effect with the Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder which carried over to the new catalog…yay!
  2. I used the rock and roll technique with my ink pads to make my celebrate pop.  I inked up the giant ink splat image from Happy Celebrations in Lemon Lime Twist and then I added Bermuda Bay just around the edges by “rolling” only the edge of the stamp on the pad.  I love these colors mixed up like this!
  3. How do you make your doilies go with absolutely anything?  Watercolor them to coordinate with your color scheme.  My doily is watercolored in Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay to match the rest of my card 🙂
  4. A quick pop of color with the scallop edge in Lemon Lime Twist (a side of one of the Layering Squares Framelits) and the ribbon/doily topper in the corner make the card sing 🙂  And how about the super cute Glimmer Enamel Dots???  Be still my heart!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, Dani Dziama’s sweet designs.

This stamp set and embossing folder along with these colors just make me happy pants!!  I love the bright cheerful colors, they make me feel like spring may actually be coming even though we just had a snow storm in Colorado this week lol!

Happy Celebrations Stampin' Up

Happy Celebrations Stampin' Up

Creative Tips:

  1. The circle image is stamped in several colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst).  It is stamped full strength and then stamped off once and twice.  It gives a nice layer of dimension to have all these different colors popping off the card.
  2. The “Happy” is stamped first in Lemon Lime Twist on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock and then embossed with the embossing folder.  I love the look of this.
  3. Splatter and rhinestones and the new beautiful glitter enamel dots add the finishing touch.

All products depicted are not yet available, they will ALL be available on June 1, 2017!!!  Whoop!!!
