Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 61

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

It’s Sale-a-Bration time and that means fun stamp sets that are totally FREE!  Here’s one of my faves from this year’s freebies, The Sky is the Limit.  It’s fun and trendy and lends itself to masculine cards as well as vintage.  Today I paired it with the World Traveler embossing folder…I think they are meant to be together!

The card starts with a piece of watercolor paper embossed with the folder and then randomly watercolored in Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi ink.  The airplane image is stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and fussy cut.  The sentiment is white embossed on a narrow piece of vellum and the “Sky” is stamped again in Wild Wasabi on Whisper White, fussy cut and then popped up on the narrow vellum banner.  The banner is then wrapped around the back of the watercolor paper and stapled in place.  The last step is adding some silver thread behind the plane and popping it up with dimensionals above the sentiment banner.  Easy peasy 🙂

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 60

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

It’s the New Year!!!  And that means fun new products to share 🙂

I’m loving the new Bloomin’ Love stamp set and coordinating die cut.  It’s perfect for Valentines Day and for just showing the love whenever you’re  feeling it.  It also lends itself perfectly to the vintage look, I’m imagining all kinds of vintage deliciousness with this suite.

This card was very simple to put together.  Lost Lagoon is the card base with a simple white heart die cut added.  Pops of color were brought in with the small flowers included in the die set.  The Lost Lagoon is set off with Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil.  More luxurious gold accents include a gold satin ribbon banner and gold thread.

Enjoy the Little Things in 2016!

2016???  Seriously!  The past year just seemed to fly by and now 2016 is here!  I just know this is going to be a fantastic year, I am committed to making it the best year ever 🙂

My last entry into the TGIF Challenge was picked as a favorite again!  Sooo exciting!  I have to play along again this week and I must say I am so excited to take on this week’s glitzy color challenge featuring silver, black and gold….uhhhh, these are faves to play with 🙂

On to this week’s challenge:

TGIF JAN Challenges_2_2-001

I am so in love with this new set in the Occasions Catalog “Enjoy the Little Things”.  I am totes obsessed with the fonts and the sentiments and I wanted to incorporate at least one in my New Year’s card.  Then I thought, hey why not use a bunch of them subway style??  The result is this beauty.

First several of the stamps were set up on one large block in the design and then gold embossed on vellum.  The vellum was added to a Basic Black card base.  Next, gold satin ribbon and banners of gold, black and silver glimmer paper were added along the bottom of the card front.  A vellum banner was added with the year 2016 silver embossed on it.  The final touches were sequins, rhinestones and stars to add glitz and glam….all a fitting welcome to the new year!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 59

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dara Gloden’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

We’ve had a lovely Christmas weekend here in Colorado.  Fun and relaxing times with friends and family 🙂  The weather has been super cold but clear and pretty!  I hope you have had a wonderful holiday with your family.

This card features the new Going Global set coming out in the Occasions Mini on January 5th.  This set is perfect for masculine birthday, vintage style and speaks to my traveling soul.

The globe image is white embossed on vellum, the compass image is stamped in Delightful Dijon on Very Vanilla and the sentiment (from You’re So Lovely) is stamped in Lost Lagoon on Very Vanilla.  All images are die cut with the Circles Collection Framelits.  The starburst is die cut with the a die in the Baker’s Box Thinlits set in Delightful Dijon.  The burlap ribbon is die cut with the larger label image from the Baker’s Box Thinlets set.  The Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack provides the cute mountain paper for the background on the card.  All of the circle images are layered onto the card at various heights with dimensions.  The final touches are sequins, a button and White Perfect Accents.

Christmas Eve, Eve!

Wow, I can hardly believe it is already Christmas Eve in just a few hours!  I.am.not.ready!  LOL!  So tonight I will be burning the midnight oil for sure!!!  I made scrumptious chocolate covered pretzels for my team and peers at work and I needed something super cute to put them in.  Voila!  This adorbs pillow box is perfect!  Except….I probably will be up alllll night if I make one of these for each recipient.  I may end up doing something a little simpler for tomorrow’s treats 🙂

I love this pillow box though and it is my entry for the “Holly Jolly” TGIF Challenge this week!  I’m super excited to say that I was the winner of last week’s challenge….yippeeeee!  I just need to figure out how to add this cute button to my blog sidebar 🙂

TGIF Fave!

On to this week’s challenge:

#tgifc34

My pillow box is my favorite kind of Christmas project, you may have noticed I am a fan of non-traditional Christmas color schemes and this is no exception!  Black, white and silver!  Classy Christmas right?

To start, the pillow box is die cut in Whisper White and one additional side in the tree image from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack.   The tag image is die cut from Black Glimmer Paper…so gorge!  The deer image from Jolly Christmas is silver embossed and fussy cut.  The final touches are a Silver Satin Ribbon belly band tied in a big bow and White Perfect Accents & Rhinestones.  I love the simplicity and beauty of this project!  It would look fantastic as place setting gifts for Christmas dinner guests.

I’m getting my craft on with this week’s TGIF Challenge!

TGIF DEC Challenges_2-002

I’m on vacation with my family in Breckenridge and the view out of our window is almost like this beautiful card.  It feels wintery and peaceful and captures the beauty of the season perfectly!

I chose to build a wintery scene in the circle “windows” of my card with trees from the Happy Scenes stamp set, the car from White Christmas and little camper from the Project Life Let’s Get Away stamp set.  This was so fun to put together, simple and pretty.  I hope it evokes memories of picking the perfect little tree out to take home for the season.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 58

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I needed a cute card for exercise instructor at work and I had made some cute tags earlier in the week so I kinda made the tag bigger and turned it into this cute card 🙂

This card came together quickly and easily and it features one of the deer images from the Home for Christmas DSP.  Soooo love this paper!  The base is Very Vanilla with a centerpiece built on a piece of Mint Macaron die cut with the Lots of Labels Thinlits set.  Snowflake images from Jolly Christmas were stamped in Mint Macaron on the label.  A bit of doily, a pretty vellum strip, enamel dots and gold thread added lots of glitz to the finished card.  The sentiment is from Oh, What Fun, I love this set so much and have been using the sentiments on nearly every holiday creation this week!

Dove of Peace, a really BIG class & a really BIG sale!

I have so much to share this morning!   A beautiful card, a fantastic class and the last day of the Online Extravaganza!  So pull up a comfy chair and a nice warm coffee (or tea or whatever makes you happy) and enjoy 🙂

I’ve been thinking about this card ever since I got the Dove of Peace Stamp … I knew I had to create something with this stamp and this technique!  Super simple with lots of wow factor.  The dove is white embossed on watercolor paper and then randomly watercolored with blues and greens (Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi).  The Soft Sky base cardstock is stenciled with Whisper White Craft Ink using the stars mask from the Hearts and Stars Decorative Mask set.  Final touches were the “peace” die cut in Silver Foil with the Christmas Greetings Thinlets, an Iced Rhinestone and Silver Thread.  The results are stunning!  There was a terrible shooting in Colorado Springs on Black Friday and all I want for Christmas is peace for all.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 57

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dara Gloden’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

It’s been cold and snowy all Thanksgiving weekend here in Colorado.  It’s really beautiful!  I have enjoyed looking at the snowy wonderland out my windows and I was inspired to make yet another project with the Wonderland Stamp Set this week! This time I used non-traditional colors in blue tones, I think this adds to the snowy effect.

The trees are stamped several times in Island Indigo Classic Ink, Soft Sky Classic Ink and Whisper White Craft Ink.  Lot’s of sparkle is added with Two-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds.  The sentiment if from the Jolly Christmas Stamp Set.  Final touches include some Vanilla Seam Binding, a snowflake and a pearl.  Super simple and elegant.

A friend of mine climbed the Manitou Incline today and sent this pic from the top….it looks snowy and peaceful, just like my card 🙂  Isn’t that an amazing view?  Colorado at it’s very best.

Greetings From!

Guess what I have for you tonight?  Another super cute card using a set that is currently on sale for 30% off!  This set of notecards was designed by my bestie Kimberly Van Diepen, aren’t these the cutest evah?  And isn’t this a must have set????

All of these cute images come from the Greetings From Photopolymer set.  They were stamped on watercolor paper and then colored in with an aqua painter and ink.  Images from a new set in the upcoming Occasions Catalog (available January 5th) provide the grungy backgrounds.  I’m pretty excited about this set being released, it’s called Timeless Textures and I suspect it will see lots of ink in my stamp room!
