Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 78

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  As always, we have some amazeballs inspiration to share today 🙂

I can hardly believe that sweet summer is coming to an end and fall is in the air!  With fall comes fun Halloween crafting though which makes me happy pants 🙂  And what cute, cute Halloween goodies are in the new Holiday Catalog from  SU!  I have lots of fun stuff planned for my crafting adventures!  I am sharing my first endeavor with you 🙂

First steps for this card are die cutting several different pieces with the Halloween Scene Edgelits:  the fence is die cut from Early Espresso, the tree is die cut twice – once from Basic Black and one from Smoky Slate.  The tree is then layered with the Smoky Slate behind to give the tree some extra dimension.  I love how this looks!

The tomb stone image and the witch image from Spooky Fun are stamped on Smoky Slate and die cut with the Halloween Scene Edgelits.  All of these die cut pieces are layered on the card front as shown in  the pic  using glue dots and dimensionals to give extra dimension to the card front.  The tomb stones are placed just behind the fence under the tree.

The swirl is cut from Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper with  the small swirl in the Swirly Scribbles Framelits.  The sentiment is silver embossed on velum and layered over the tree branches.  I love that you can see the shadow of the branch under the sentiment banner.

Final touches are popping that cute witch on top of the sparkly swirly and adding some Halloween Night Enamel Dots.  The finished card front is added to a base of Pumpkin Pie card stock.

Sweet Birdie in My Window

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 77

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  As always, we have some amazeballs inspiration to share today 🙂

You know how I usually say that my card is easy peasy???  Well not today!  This was a lot of steps but the results were so worth it!  I got the window shade idea from Joanne James at http://www.thecraftyowl.co.uk and I have wanted to try it since I saw her cute card 🙂  I used DSP for my Roman shade instead of ribbon and it worked perfectly.

The window is die cut from Whisper White Thick Cardstock.  The Roman shade is a piece of Moroccan Designer Series Paper cut wide enough to cover the window and and then rolled back twice to make the shade.  A piece of window sheet is cut the size of the window and added before the shade.  Foam adhesive strips along the backside are attached to a piece of Whisper White cut just barely smaller than the window.  Oh my how I love the foam adhesive strips!

The card front is Delightful Dijon embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  It is also lightly stamped (stamped off) with the net image from Best Birds in Delightful Dijon. The cute flowers from Best Birds are stamped in Archival Black and colored with markers (Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy and Daffodil Delight).  The colored flowers are die cut with Birds & Blooms.  The sweet little birdie is die cut with the same dies in Dapper Denim.  Isn’t he the cutest thing evah???  I love him to pieces 🙂

The sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners and is stamped in Dapper Denim.  A couple of pearls for the flowers and some gold thread add just the right finishing touches.

Love & Affection

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 76

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  As always, we have some amazeballs inspiration to share today 🙂

My card today features the Affectionately Yours Suite Stamp Set Love & Affection.  I pulled one of the colors of the suite and made a two-tone card featuring Whisper White and Mint Macaron.  The results are elegant and beautiful yet pretty simple to put together.

The Whisper White base is stamped randomly with an image from Gorgeous Grunge in Mint Macaron before it is embossed with the Floral Affection Textured Embossing Folder.  The two flower images from the Love & Affection set are heat embossed in Copper and watercolored with Mint Macaron to give a soft, sweet color.  After the paper dries the images are fussy cut.

The sentiment is stamped in Mint Macaron on Whisper White and die cut with a die from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits collection.  A piece of Mint Macaron is banner cut and layered over a paper clip with a tiny piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim.  The sentiment die cut is stapled to the banner as shown in the pic.

The cut flowers are layered with dimensionals to the card front with swirled Copper Metallic Thread underneath.  The sentiment is attached to the card front with the paper clip.  The finishing touch are sweet pearls added to the flowers and sentiment.

You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the wonderful Dani Dziama’s blog.  I am sure we all have something special to share today!

I’ve had the flu since Thursday…ugh!!  I didn’t feel too crafty this weekend, I spent my whole weekend in bed trying to kick the crud 😦  I made this cute scrapbook page last week memorializing one of our adventures during my road trip with my daughter last summer.  So fast and easy to throw this together 🙂

The page features two different leaf dies from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies cut in Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz.  These leaves poke out behind the photos that are kinda scattered on the page.  There is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that is the same size as the photos that has been embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF carrying the woodland theme.  The sentiment is from Going Global and gold embossed on vellum, then die cut with the large heart from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets.  The compass from Going Global is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake and die cut with a circle die.  The gold frame around the pic is from the Memories in the Making Project Life Card Collection available for free during Sale-A-Bration!  Don’t miss this cute set of cards, I am loving them right now 🙂  The last touches are some random grungy images from Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake, a tiny gold clothespin and some gold thread twisted in behind the trees and in the leaves.

It felt very springy here in Colorado today!  I hear we are due for some snow tomorrow but that’s tomorrow and today was gorgeous 🙂  The lovely weather and the hint of spring inspired me to make a card featuring spring blooms today.

This card features several flowers die cut in Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  The card base is Whisper White, next is layered a piece of Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper with a piece of vellum on top.  The super adorbs Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon is wrapped around the vellum and DSP and tied with a bow.  A tea lace doily is layered under the ribbon and flowers.  The card is finished with the Oh, Hello sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration set Honeycomb Happiness.  So bright and cheerful and springy 🙂

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! It’s Sale-a-Bration time and that means fun stamp sets that are totally FREE!  Here’s one of my faves from this year’s freebies, The Sky is the Limit.  It’s fun and trendy and lends itself to masculine cards as well as vintage.  Today I paired it with the World Traveler embossing folder…I think they are meant to be together!

The card starts with a piece of watercolor paper embossed with the folder and then randomly watercolored in Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi ink.  The airplane image is stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and fussy cut.  The sentiment is white embossed on a narrow piece of vellum and the “Sky” is stamped again in Wild Wasabi on Whisper White, fussy cut and then popped up on the narrow vellum banner.  The banner is then wrapped around the back of the watercolor paper and stapled in place.  The last step is adding some silver thread behind the plane and popping it up with dimensionals above the sentiment banner.  Easy peasy 🙂

It’s the New Year!!!  And that means fun new products to share 🙂

I’m loving the new Bloomin’ Love stamp set and coordinating die cut.  It’s perfect for Valentines Day and for just showing the love whenever you’re  feeling it.  It also lends itself perfectly to the vintage look, I’m imagining all kinds of vintage deliciousness with this suite.

This card was very simple to put together.  Lost Lagoon is the card base with a simple white heart die cut added.  Pops of color were brought in with the small flowers included in the die set.  The Lost Lagoon is set off with Cherry Cobbler and Gold Foil.  More luxurious gold accents include a gold satin ribbon banner and gold thread.

We’ve had a lovely Christmas weekend here in Colorado.  Fun and relaxing times with friends and family 🙂  The weather has been super cold but clear and pretty!  I hope you have had a wonderful holiday with your family.

This card features the new Going Global set coming out in the Occasions Mini on January 5th.  This set is perfect for masculine birthday, vintage style and speaks to my traveling soul.

The globe image is white embossed on vellum, the compass image is stamped in Delightful Dijon on Very Vanilla and the sentiment (from You’re So Lovely) is stamped in Lost Lagoon on Very Vanilla.  All images are die cut with the Circles Collection Framelits.  The starburst is die cut with the a die in the Baker’s Box Thinlits set in Delightful Dijon.  The burlap ribbon is die cut with the larger label image from the Baker’s Box Thinlets set.  The Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack provides the cute mountain paper for the background on the card.  All of the circle images are layered onto the card at various heights with dimensions.  The final touches are sequins, a button and White Perfect Accents.

I needed a cute card for exercise instructor at work and I had made some cute tags earlier in the week so I kinda made the tag bigger and turned it into this cute card 🙂

This card came together quickly and easily and it features one of the deer images from the Home for Christmas DSP.  Soooo love this paper!  The base is Very Vanilla with a centerpiece built on a piece of Mint Macaron die cut with the Lots of Labels Thinlits set.  Snowflake images from Jolly Christmas were stamped in Mint Macaron on the label.  A bit of doily, a pretty vellum strip, enamel dots and gold thread added lots of glitz to the finished card.  The sentiment is from Oh, What Fun, I love this set so much and have been using the sentiments on nearly every holiday creation this week!
