Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 44

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

Today my card features some new cattle sneak peeks along with some retiring faves.  I used the super adorbs new Project Life set Moments Like These.  I embossed the days of the week on watercolor paper in white embossing powder.  Isn’t this font just swoon-a-liscious?  Yum!  Then I added random water color in Watermelon Wonder, Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  The effect is so purty 🙂  Next I stamped the phrase “everyday moments” in Watermelon Wonder on vellum, die cut it and stapled it to a Coastal Cabana starburst shape.  This is another fave I am sad to see go!  I just loved these starburst dies!  De-constructed jute, some rhinestones and a watermelon base finished this one off.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 43

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

As always this time of year I am super excited about a new catalog and new goodies but I also seem to have a few faves I struggle to let go of!  This year, in particular, I am so so sad to say goodbye to the retiring In Colors.  I have loved and used them all to pieces and will especially have trouble losing Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe from my repertoire.  My stamp club Friday night was a memorial to these two lovely colors and I am sharing those pretties here today.

Two super easy cards.  The Coastal Cabana card features the bokeh technique.  This is soooo easy to do and is such a huge wow factor!  I just love the finished card.  Coastal is prominent from the bokeh background to the lovely twine and arrow.  I also love, love, love the Adventure Awaits set and will be sad to bid it farewell too!

The second card features the Smooches & Snuggles set and the Hi There set.  Hi There is retiring too and I have loved it often during the past year!

Lots of embossing this week….but that’s a good thing right?

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 42

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

I saw an amazing scrapbook page on Kirsten Kreis’ blog and it inspired this card.  I love the random dots peeking through the vellum layer.  I used the flower center stamp from “Petal Potpourri” for the cute dots.  Super fast and easy card 🙂  I have to say I am going to really miss the “So You” stamp set.  I have been using it on every Project Life layout as well as on my cards.  It just has so many cute things in it!

I de-constructed the jute ribbon again and this time I ombre dyed it with Lost Lagoon re-inker.  Seriously swoon-a-liscious!!!  I can’t get enough of the “Hello You” thinlets either, they seem to grace every project in some way lately 😉

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 41

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

I am so excited that the butterfly framelits are available again!  and discounted!  how exciting is that?  I just had to feature them in my card today 🙂  This card is another watercolor beauty that took about 5 minutes to make!  Seriously….so easy!

I cut the large butterfly out of a piece of watercolor paper that I cut at 4.25 x 5.5″.  After it was cut out, I put the whole thing on a paper towel and watercolored with re-inkers and water in four loose quadrants, the background and the butterfly.  I popped the background piece up on a coastal cabana base, after adding my gold foil “hello”, added some de-constructed jute ribbon and a few rhinestones and voila, my card was done!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 40

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog.  I know we have some super cute goodies for you today!

I am clearly obsessed with watercoloring these days!  I just can’t stop playing with the soft affect of watercoloring with our re-inkers.  Today’s project features a lovely watercolored flower as it’s centerpiece.  It was so easy peasy!  I white embossed the Blended Bloom on watercolor paper and painted away.  We did this project in my stamp club on Friday night and every flower was as individual as the artists painting them!  So fun!

The rest of the card features some fun embellishments from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, the cute pom pom ribbon and ribbon from Sale-A-Bration.  Once the painting was complete, the rest of this sweet card came together in a jiffy!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 39

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I can’t wait to share our beautiful inspiration with you today!

It is starting to feel a little like spring around here.  My mama’s daffodils are poking their heads through our snow drifts and it has been sunny and warm all weekend 🙂  My project today features soft, springy colors.  I am so in love with the new Lovely Amazing You photopolymer set!  The font makes me seriously swoon!  My card today is simple and easy and features this lovely, amazing set 🙂

I painted some watercolor swooshes in Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I just used a drop of re-inker and my Aqua Painter…so fast and easy!  I white embossed the envelope image from the set on all three colors of paper and cut them out.  I stapled them together randomly and popped them over the swooshes.  On top of that is the sentiment, white embossed on vellum.  The finishing touches were rhinestones, sequins and a bit of string.  My favorite string this week is deconstructed white jute ribbon.  It is so easy to pull apart and I love the texture it adds.  It is so easy to work with, you can pretty much shape it any way you want.

Needing a little sunshine….

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 38

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I can’t wait to share our beautiful inspiration with you today!

Well the whole country has been dealing with lots of snow the last several weeks and now it is Colorado’s turn.  It has been snowing on and off since Friday and we got quite a bit of the white stuff.  We need the moisture so it’s hard to complain but I sure miss my sunshine!

Today my project is super simple and features some sunny colors!  I am using the Hooray It’s Your Day Simply Created Kit.  This was our “Take & Make” from Leadership and I thought it was the perfect kit to bring in a little sunshine 🙂  I only used a couple of things outside the kit.  One thing I did that was super fun was using silver foil on the wood accent pieces.  I coated them with 2-way glue and let it dry for a bit and then added the foil.  Easy peasy and so much wow factor!

I added silver foil to the mini clothespin too.  I hope this inspires you to make your own simple, sunny project today!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 37

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I can’t wait to share our beautiful inspiration with you today!

I just got home about 15 minutes ago from a fabulous trip to Florida!  I went to see my bestie in Pensacola and we went to Stamping’ Up Leadership in Orlando.  I was gone for two whole amazing weeks filled with friends, fun, laughter, stamping, crafting, laughter….lots and lots of laughter!  My abs hurt from laughing so much 🙂

During my trip we made 53 different projects:  cards, journals, Project Life layouts and albums, valentine ornaments, marquee lights….just to name a few!  It was simply amazing 🙂  All the while we chatted, talked, laughed and cried; it filled my soul with all things good.

Today I am sharing one of our last projects and it was a true collaborative effort.  Usually we are each working on separate projects with lots of community input back and forth, but this project we both worked on together 🙂  It was so much fun to make and reflects our mutual love affair with coffee in general and Starbucks in particular 😉  I hope this inspires you to make something beautiful with your fancy craft-y friends!

I can’t wait to share our beautiful inspiration with you today!

Hello there my friends….another pretty fall card for you today!  This card features the pretty “For All Things” set once again!  When my bestie Kimber was here last weekend we had a crafting marathon and this was one of the many things we created.  There is nothing better than working together on projects….yippee!!!

We used the now retired Expressions Thinlets which can still be found on the Clearance Rack!  Don’t miss these awesome thinlets….I just love these sayings.  We cut out “thankful” in gold foil.  The trick to using the expressions thinlets is to layer wax paper between the die and your medium, then your words slide right out of the die 🙂

The rest of the card is easy peasy….we stamped the leaf image in several colors on the card front, we cut one leaf out and popped it up.  We added some cute washi tape, a feather die cut from brushed gold and the final touch of cuteness are the glittered wooden leaf elements.

I hope you like these as much as we liked making them 🙂

Selfie Fun Featuring Project Life by SU!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 26

Hello friends! Welcome back to our Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I have something super fun today & I know my friends have amazing inspiration too!

I am in love with Project Life!  I had been dabbling in PL style layouts using Stampin’ Up products for a while and when SU announced that they were partnering with Becky Higgins and developing their own PL line, I was over the moon!  This week’s project features our PL layout and greeting card that we did in our club on Friday night.  Sooooo much fun and supah easy!

This month we used the “Happiness Is” Card Collection and Accessory Pack.  Gosh there are super cute cards in the set and the accessory pack is chock full of fun embellishments.  I find the hardest thing about any scrapbooking layout is picking the photos, these pictures just jumped out of my phone and onto my page!  Total no brainer 😉

Putting the layout together after picking the photos?  Oh, about 5 minutes….seriously!  PL is that fast and easy!  Gives you lots of time to forever document your favorite memories!  And you can make your layouts as simple or as complicated as you want.  This one was pretty simple but has some nice cute touches too.  The greeting card features one of the PL cards and one of the included embellishments, this is a fast and easy way to throw a cute card together in an instant!

The hardest thing about PL is photographing the results!  Those glare-y pocket pages do not lend themselves to good pictures!!!  Hopefully you can see how cute this page is 🙂
