Can you believe Sale-A-Bration is nearly over???
I can’t either and I feel I haven’t made nearly enough fun things with the FREEBIES in the Sale-A-Bration catalog! Well I am on a roll now and getting the most out of my Sale-A-Bration products! You have one more day to get a free Sale-A-Bration item with a $50 purchase…this promotion ends at midnight on March 31st!
I have to say that one of the goodies I have loved using the most is the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I just love the way those raised dots look and I think they are perfect with “sea” themed projects. Here are two fun projects I made using the embossing folder with vellum to give a nice watery look to my cards.
This card features the Hello, Sailor Stamp Set and the High Tide Designer Series Paper. I cut the cute “ship in a bottle” image out of the paper and used that as my focal point. The rest was just super easy layering of a doily, button and baker’s twine, a couple of images from the stamp set and stars punched out of the Silver Foil paper. How I love the foil paper! So darn pretty and there are stars in the High Tide DSP so the whole thing comes together nicely!
My second fishy card features one of my favorite stamp sets that has not seen much ink lately! I used the fish, the sea fan and the script from By the Tide. I just love how this card came out! I gold embossed the fish on Crumb Cake Cardstock and cut them out. I gold embossed the sea fan on the card front. I added a few random script images in Soft Suede. I spritzed the whole thing with Coastal Cabana re-inker mixed with alcohol….yummy! Then I popped my fish and vellum bubbles on to the card front along with some gold foil circles and rhinestones. It is just a beautiful card and the pictures don’t really do it justice! I sure wish you could see it in person 🙂
I sure hope this has inspired you to use not only this embossing folder but your sea themed goodies! I am feeling beachy these days wishing summer would get here!! I’ll take spring but so ready for summertime!
