My sweet girls…

I love this picture of my daughter and her dog Sawyer when Sawyer was just a little puppy that I have scrapped it into a traditional page and now a digital layout.  This project was quick and easy….so much faster and more portable than traditional scrapping!

I used the beautiful SVG “lovely” from Endless Birthday Wishes…gosh I just love the word brushes in that set!  I also used the new “Gorgeous Grunge” brushes, I love that stamp set so much and I am thrilled its available in digital form now!

“Get Lucky” Banner!

mondaymontage banner revised Oct 13

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 14

Hello friends! Welcome back to our Monday Montage Blog Hop! You may have gotten here from the amazing Bree Renwick’s blog, make sure you select the “next” button below and that will take you to the next stop on the hop, the fabulous Dani Dziama’s blog. I have something funky & fresh today & I know my friends have amazing inspiration too!

Okay, I know this is yet another banner but several of my friends have made the cutest banners for St. Patties so I just had to follow suit!  I also wanted to show that you could make more than one banner from the cute banner Sale-A-Bration kit sooooo I made a second banner with the parts I had left from last time 🙂

This banner was simple, quick and easy!  It features gold, gold and more gold (another habit I can’t seem to kick!) and shamrocks cut with the e-cutter.  Now for some fun technique info:

I cut the shamrocks out of silver glitter paper and then I spritzed them with Wild Wasabi ink mixed with alcohol.  I can’t tell you how pretty that is!  I used my sponge dauber and gold ink to add gold dots to one of my Wild Wasabi hearts and one of the banner pieces.  I’m not sure I love the gold on the banner, it kinda looks brownish instead of gold but there is a little glint of bling so I stayed with it 🙂

I have to say the whole time I was making this I had the song “Get Lucky” playing in my brain.  I just love that song by Daft Punk & Pharrell Williams!  Those of you that watched the Grammys hopefully saw the awesome collaboration on this song with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell and the “robots” 🙂  Anyway, I love to work out and run to this song and this banner made me feel like I was totally up all night to “get lucky”!

New beginnings….

Cathy Casey, Stampin' Up

Welcome to my new blog!  I am kicking this off with a My Digital Studio layout I completed today of “my favorite things”.  I am not sure blogging is one of my favorite things as evidenced by my past efforts but I am sure that My Digital Studio is a huge favorite of mine!

I am in the middle of a 21-Day Challenge to make a change in my life.  I am committed to moving more & eating better & being more consistent in sharing inspiration and ideas with you!  Part of that challenge for me is to try this blogging thing again with a new and better blog platform.  So here goes!

This layout features many elements of the This and That Epic Day Kit  from Stampin’ Up.  I love this digital kit, it has so many cute and funky elements that are really fun to play with.  When I started building this page I actually started with the coffee picture and then I found the cute picture of my doggie Sofia.  That made me think of my favorites and the page just came together after that.  I added my wonderful kids and I used the global search function in My Digital Studio to find elements featuring “favorite” or “favorites”.   My style is very eclectic and I am drawn to taking things that might not seem to go together at first glance and changing the color or shape or opacity to build them into something whole and pretty.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found something beautiful to inspire your creativity today!
