New stamps, old colors!!!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 139!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Today I merged some old colors that are my absolute faves with new stamps!!  I am finally playing with new pre-order products after trying to not be enticed by them while focusing on faves that are retiring 🙂  This card features my favorite retiring In Color Lemon Lime Twist and another fave Bermuda Bay…they just go together like peanut butter and jelly…I am really going to have a hard time saying farewell to Lemon Lime Twist!!

And this suite of stamps and dies?!!???  oh my goodness I just love them!!  I did super vibrant watercoloring today by dropping re-inker right on to wet watercolor paper.  I usually go for a more subtle watercolor look but I had kick it up a notch today!  To get the sparkly pens and pencil, I colored with blends and then added 2-way glue and dipped in Dazzling Diamonds.  It added the perfect sparkle to go with the sentiment 🙂

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 138!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

My crafting has been focused on retiring favorites these days.  Another one I am sad to say goodbye to is Falling Flowers and the May Flowers Framelits.  I love this combo so much!  I actually purchased the framelits a LONG time before I finally remembered to get the stamp set lol.  I have used the flower die cut many, many times and I will miss it a lot!

This card features Granite Gray, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Poppy Parade.  The color combo is so pretty together!  I used the stained glass technique with my blends, vellum and white embossing the images.  I love how everything came together into a beautiful birthday card for someone special 🙂

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 137!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

It’s that time of year when the new catalog is right around the corner and the retiring list is out.  I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year…I’m sad to see favorites go but super excited for new pretties to play with!  I am exceptionally sad this year to say goodbye to the retiring In Colors as they are some of my favorites, I will be using them a lot over the next few weeks so I can get my fill of them!  Today’s card features some of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog…there are so many things I love in this catalog, I will be sad to see it go too!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 136!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Today’s card features the super cute succulent stamp from the February Paper Pumpkin kit.  Not only does that kit have the cutest cards, it has some really fun stamps in it!  I had to do a semi-no line watercolor technique with it.  I think I used Sahara Sand, it didn’t completely fade out but it is soft and dreamy.  I just love it!  The Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Soft Sea Foam die cut carried the dreamy quality of the card home. It’s sort of soft, sweet and vintage.

Last call for Sale-A-Bration!

This time of year always seems to fly by at light speed!  Well maybe it is all times of year lol!  I can’t believe tomorrow is already April 1st!!  Anyway, that means that today is the end of Sale-a-Bration!  So you only have a few more hours to get in on some of the super cute items that come for free with a $50 order.  One of my absolute favorites this year is this Botanical Butterfly DSP.  It is so cute and the colors are so perfect!  Best of all, many of the butterfly images fit right in the Butterfly Duet punch!  I love this the most!

Here’s a trick to punch out just the large butterfly from the paper and not damage any surrounding images with the smaller butterfly part of the punch.  Trim the butterfly from the paper and then use a post it to create a “handle” so you can put the butterfly image in the punch.  It works every time!  See pics below:

I love the lemon lime twist, grapefruit grove and highland heather together in this card, I think this color combination is so pretty and springy 🙂

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 135!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

I have created quite a few cards with the lovely Humming Along set.  I just purchased the coordinating framelits, so I will be having more stamping fun with this gorgeous set!  For this card, I gold embossed the hummingbird image on watercolor paper and then watercolored with Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Blueberry Bushel.  I love how my sweet birdie came out!  The rest of the card features the large flower from the set stamped in the background in Coastal Cabana and several die cuts with the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits – these dies are must haves!!!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 134!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

I have been stamping like a kook the last few weeks, now I need to share like a kook!  I gold embossed my butterflies, colored them with Blends and then punched them out with the Butterfly Duo Punch.  So fast and easy and they came out so lovely I think!  A little watercolor wash in Lemon Lime Twist, a little splatter and a gorgeous “friend” die cut in Gold Foil and this sweet card was almost finished!  The final touches of vellum, sequins and flax ribbon strings brought this card right over the top for me!
