Halloween is my favorite holiday! I love the witches, the ghosts, the bats, the colors! These projects are a combination of Best Witches, Bewitching and Design A Treat. It was fun to create these coordinated goodies. The tiny bat box is the perfect size for a piece of candy. I love the versatility of the bundle, Everything you need to make an advent calendar and the bunny ears, antlers and bat shapes are so cute!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 223!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

The seasons are changing here in Colorado. I can feel it in the air and it is time to enjoy the changing leaves, it’s nice after all the extra heat this summer! This stamp set features holly leaves but I envisioned a fall leaf version. I did some ink smooshing, spritzed with water and squished a piece of watercolor paper in it. I dried between smooshes and layered Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze till I got a something I really liked. Then I die cut with the holly leaf dies. The rest of this card is clean and simple and I love it!

It’s only September but it is definitely not too early to get going on Christmas cards! This one is super fast and easy. I used the Gnomes Specialty Paper and was able to make several variations. This one was my favorite though and it was so fast to make but is really beautiful.

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 221!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Have you seen the “Waterfall Canyon” stamp set? It is a beautiful set that coordinates with another outdoor set, “Mountain Air”. “Mountain Air” is one of my faves! Now you can also get coordinating dies for “Waterfall Canyon”! And what a set of dies! There are over 30 great dies that go with the stamp set. When I was creating my card, I thought I need clouds and birds! My silly self didn’t even look at all the dies in this set and went looking for those in other sets lol! I found clouds and birds in “Waves of Inspiration” and used them. Then I noticed clouds and birds right in the “Waterfall Canyon” set! I had to use a couple of those birds too, they’re just a little further away than the birds from “Waves of Inspiration”.

I also had some fun with watercoloring the parts of my card. I smushed ink pads on a glass surface, spritzed with water and then dragged my embossed images through the ink. It made such a pretty, organic color for the various parts of my card.

Have you seen this super cute set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog? This is a freebie when you spend $50. These are just a few of the great phrases in this set. There are some really great sentiments in it…one of my faves is “I’m the worst”. I am definitely using it next lol!

I used all the color ways in the For Everything Fancy Sequins and I used my new favorite technique of randomly dropping them on my card and glueing them where they fell. I love the result!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 219!!!

I’ve been camping a lot the last few weeks so it is only fitting that I create a card with this cute camper! These dies come with the free Tree Lot Dies in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. There are so many cute images in this set, I know I will get a ton of use out of these! I tried something a little different when I added my sequins to this card. I took a little handful of sequins from the “For Everything Fancy Sequins” and dropped them on the card. Then I glued each one down where it fell. I really like how it came out, I’ll be using this technique again! I put my sentiment inside the card this time and left the front clean.

I cannot stop with the Rugged Icon Dies! They are just so much fun! One thing I forgot to mention last week is that when I made the paper piecing mountain I had a bunch of fun outlines left to make more cards with. It’s always a good thing when you can get double duty out of card parts 🙂

The guitar card I was thinking about in bed one night lol. Oooooo I can use with the Merry Melody embossing folder. I love how it came out! I went super simple with the mountain card for my color palette and zhuzhed (Google says this is how you spell zhuzh lol) it up by creating a shaker card. I put some really subtle paper behind the the scene and added the blue and green colored fancy sequins. Those sequins are just the best! I added them everywhere!

Oh my goodness these “Rugged Icon” dies are so much fun! I couldn’t help paper piecing the image with all the colors lol. I love how it came out. I added some light sun rays with blending brushes and a quick sentiment. Another must have item in the new catalog are the “For Everything Fancy Sequins”! The colors are simply luscious and there are so many fun things in there to use on projects and in shakers. I will be using these on probably every project from now on 😉
