It’s a blizzard around here!

Monday Montage Blog Hop – Week 126!!!!

Hello friends! Welcome back to the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won’t want to miss the amazing prettiness that I know you will find at all the stops along the way!

Colorado seems to have skipped right on past fall this year.  It started snowing on my birthday last week and we have had an ongoing snow storm since late last night too!  I was expecting a lot more snow the way they made it sound but it’s really just been super cold with random on and off light snow.  Regardless, winter is definitely coming!!

I thought the Beautiful Blizzard set was perfect for today’s post.  This was my project for our World Card Making Day event, Stampin’ for a Cure, last Saturday.  We had a great turn out and we raised over $4600 for our local Komen Affiliate!  It was a great day 🙂

This card is so super easy to make and looks absolutely stunning!  The cool background stamp is so easy to use…I chose Balmy Blue stamped off, then I went back in with full strength Balmy Blue for the sprinkle image.  After adding a few snowflakes from the Blizzard thinlets die, I spritzed the whole thing with shimmer paint mixed with alcohol.  I don’t think you can see it very well in the photos but this shimmer mist adds a beautiful shimmery look to the card.  I loved watching the stampers fall in love with this technique last weekend!  A quick greeting with the luscious Merry Merlot and the card is done!  I absolutely adore the fonts and sentiments in this set too!  Makes me happy pants 🙂
